Soft water can be particularly hard on the surface of plaster or concrete pools, pulling minerals from the surface and causing etching or cracking.
Instructions for use:
Calcium Hardness (CH) should be maintained at 200 to 275 ppm and tested every one to three months. If the CH is too low, add Clarity Calcium Hardener at the rate of 14 grams per 1000 litres to raise the CH approximately 10 ppm.
Calcium Hardener can either be distributed over the pool water or pre-dissolved in a bucket of water.
If CH is greater than 300 ppm and there is no problem with scale formation, your pool water is fine. But if the CH needs to be lowered, consult your dealer or partially drain the pool and add low hardness tap water. You should check your hardness levels 3 or 4 times a year, and particularly after a lot of rainy weather or if you have to top up your pool.
